All main female leads are plus size/ curvy. Melanin is something I find delicious and mixing opposites is a favorite past time.
Fun fact: Almost every main characters' name and many of the non main characters' names are chosen for their meaning or the ancient deity whose characteristics they mirror. Similarly, cities, worlds and things along those nature are done by using the terms from other languages & cultures both in our current existence or from dead languages of our past. If you ever google a single name and learn about the deity, then I've fulfilled one of my purposes. There are lots of hidden factual details cloaked in the fiction, stories and pairings of the past intertwin with the fantasy of the journey. Also many details like strength of metals, how things are made, recipes; are usually derived from factual research. I'm a geek, it is what it is. Much of my weird research can actually be credited to the woman I refer to as Ishi. Since about 2020 she has been boggling my mind with her plethora of knowledge and broadening my psychological understanding of the universe in our rambling discussions. Jen (Ishi) has unintentionally contributed facts or ideas to over 20 novels through our lengthy discussions.
The original Bloody Rose, as featured in Black Butterfly, was officially dissolved on August 23, 2022, putting an end to her existence. The backstory characters in that book are inspired by real acquaintances and may portray the roles they once played in regards to the original. The Story, however, takes on a life of its own and deviates far from its beginnings.
Story time: A really long time ago, think 20+ years ago, I thought I wanted to be a graphic designer so I taught my self to draw well enough that I got into a predominant arts school in NYC. My portfolio sucked so much but they saw potential. I didn't go there. I foolishly followed a boy and went to an engineering uni in NJ instead and did the geek thing. He dropped out the summer I started and I didn't. After lots of engineering & business pieces of paper, my dumb ass thought I'd get a Masters in architecture because I was bored at work. Shockingly (very shocking) I was accepted into the school. It turns out... my art is better in straight line and blueprint form... yea I didn't go to that program. I went back to engineering for more pieces of fancy useless paper. Welp... guess what? That was a waste of my brain use. I don't use any of those decoratively written proofs of completion and I have so many of them because I kept going back to school to find something interesting to embark on, never once was it this though... the point of this little fun fact is that life is squirrely like that. I didn't even like reading until I moved the south and was tired of going out in the summer heat. Now I spend those once wasted hours making every one of my images; assuming I'm not writing or parenting. They are hand done image by image, blend by blend, filter by filter layer... unless someone gifts me an image then...they are typically the ones that drew it and those folks are all artists. With that said the raven that was once on this page as a background is probably AI before AI was a thing. I got back in 2019 from some kid as a gift. He "made it" based on my personality. I had him sign a little form for a release buttt... let's face it... that shit looks AI. I hate AI and DO NOT SUPPORT IT.
